The Human Resources Management program will provide you with the skills required to optimize the potential of employees, while maximizing your organization's effectiveness.

Program Highlights

Human Resources managers deal with such diverse and complex areas as:

  • recruitment and selection
  • orientation, training and development
  • employment and pay equity
  • employee and labour relations
  • health and safety
  • salary and benefits administration

In this six-semester program, you'll learn how to address all of them through:

  • participation in a full semester placement, which provides the opportunity to gain real life work experiences across a variety of the functional areas of Human Resources
  • hands-on, industry-specific simulations and activities that allow learners to apply concepts to real world HR scenarios
  • a common first year in the School of Business where you can build relationships with students who may be your future colleagues, clients or trading partners
  • coursework that allows HR students to develop the understanding required to strategically support other Business disciplines within their organizations

Career Opportunities

As a Human Resources grad, there are plenty of career directions in the field for you to consider, such as:

  • human resources generalist/business partner/consultant
  • recruiting manager
  • compensation specialist
  • training and development advisor
  • health and safety facilitator
  • labour relations manager
  • employee relations specialist

You'll typically begin your career as human resources assistant, working as a generalist, or in one of the areas of specialization. As most enterprises require human resources services, you could be employed by a wide variety of organizations, ranging from financial services and manufacturing to government and education.

You may be able to use credits obtained at Fleming College to continue your postsecondary education in pursuit of a degree. The articulation and credit transfer agreements with our partner institutions.

  • OSSD including Gr 12 C English and Gr 11 C Math

Recommended (but not required for admission)

  • Gr 12 C Math

  • IELTS : 6.0 (No band less than 5.5. Applicants from India: no band less than 6.0)
  • TOEFL : 79
  • Pearson Test English: 58+
