Our program offers you the chance to build your area of interest into a specialized field of study. The enormous area of Latin America is home to an ethnically diverse and culturally vibrant populations. We provide you with a broad interdisciplinary understanding of this important geocultural area and knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese.

Our Latin American Literary and Cultural Studies program has a greater focus on linguistic and language acquisition through literature than the Latin American Interdisciplinary Studies program and this is reflected in the core prerequisite requirements.

Honours:

Students wishing to enroll in the Honours Program must first obtain the approval of the Program Director. Admission to the Honours Program normally requires a minimum GPA of 6.0.
