Diploma of Technology in Marine Engineering

Канада

Что я буду изучать?

With main responsibilities being the mechanical operations of vessels, you'll maintain and control ship systems and operate machinery in senior positions.

When the program and required sea-time are completed, you'll be eligible to write your engineering examinations and have credits up to the second-class level. This allows you to progress in the marine transportation industry to a senior position relatively quickly.

You'll exit the program with a strong background in marine engineering technology. With real experience at sea, naval architecture and machinery maintenance, you'll quickly stand out from the competition.

Program Structure

This four-year program consists of seven in-class semesters, three technical sessions and three work terms (180 days).

First year: Two academic terms followed by a technical session.
Second year: Two academic terms followed by a technical session and a work term.
Third year: Two academic terms with a work term in between.
Fourth year: A work term followed by a final academic term.

*Note: The three work terms allow for 180 sea days required for Transport Canada certification. A land-based option is also available.
