Что я буду изучать?

The graduate training program in oral and maxillofacial surgery is a six-year program. It is a joint program leading to an MD/MSc in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The program utilizes the facilities of the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre, IWK-Grace Health Care Centre and Dalhousie University. An important part of the program is devoted to research, including an original research project leading to a Master’s thesis and defense.

Length of Program:

  • MD/MSc - typical time to complete is 6 years

Training:

Extensive training is provided in surgical correction of dent facial deformities, obstructive sleep apnea, cleft lip and palate, maxillofacial pathology and reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma, dental implants and other surgery as it pertains to the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

English language requirement: Internet-based TOEFL (Academic iBT): 92; MELAB: 85; IELTS: 7; CanTest: 4.5 (with no band score lower than 4.0); CAEL: 70 with no band score lower than 60; Pearson English Test PTE Academic: overall score of 65 and nothing below 54.

  • Students must possess either a DDS or DMD and be eligible for student licensure in the Province of Nova Scotia.

English language proficiency test score:

  • Internet-based TOEFL (Academic iBT): 92
  • Written TOEFL: 580
  • MELAB: 85
  • IELTS: 7
  • CanTest: 4.5 (with no band score lower than 4.0)
  • CAEL: 70 with no band score lower than 60
  • Dalhousie College of Continuing Education (CCE) : A-
  • Pearson English Test PTE Academic: overall score of 65 and nothing below 54

The application deadline for this program is August 31st of the year preceding commencement of the program.
