Program Overview

The Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences at Queen’s University offers a 16 month Master of Science program in Anatomical Sciences.

This program is structured around three pillars of competency (content, pedagogy, inquiry) and designed to educate students interested in the art of teaching and designing curricula in the anatomical sciences.

Career paths - employment opportunities

Graduates of our M.Sc. Anatomical Sciences program have pursued careers at both Canadian and foreign colleges and universities as health services education co-ordinators or have gone on to further their education as medical students or Ph.D. students.

Academic Prerequisites: 4-year bachelor’s honour degree in any discipline. Minimum upper second-class standing (B+/GPA 3.3), over the last two years of study), and demonstrated evidence of strong academic potential. For international students, if required, a TOEFL total score of at least 600 (paper-based) or TOEFL iBT minimum scores of: writing (24/30); speaking (22/30); reading (22/30); listening (20/30), for a total of 88/120. Applicants must have the minimum score in each test as well as the minimum overall score.

Students must have recognized B.Sc. degree with a background in Biology or Health Sciences or equivalent professional degrees (BN.Sc., B.Sc. PT).

If an English Language Proficiency Test is required, the School of Graduate Studies requires the following minimum scores: TOEFL (paper-based): 550, (2) TOEFL iBT: Writing (24/30); Speaking (22/30); Reading (22/30); Listening (20/30), for a total of 88/120 (applicants must have the minimum score in each test as well as the minimum overall score), or (3) IELTS: 7.0 (academic module overall band score), or (4) PTE Academics: 65
