Our MSc program is intended for students seeking training in the biological sciences beyond the BSc degree.
Emphasis is on research, resulting in presentation and defense of a thesis. Master’s students take two or more courses and deliver two departmental seminars. Outstanding students enrolled in the MSc program may transfer directly into the PhD program.
Students may pursue one of the following fields within the MSc in Biological Sciences: 1) Molecular/Cellular Biology; 2) Ecology, Evolution, Environment, and Behaviour; and 3) Behaviour and Neuroscience.

Applicants with an honours degree in Biological Sciences or a related field may be admitted to the Master's Candidacy (M2) program.
Applicants with a general B.Sc. degree in Biological Sciences or a related field may be admitted to the Master's Qualifying (M1) program.
For the Behaviour and Neuroscience field, agreement with a research supervisor for supervision will also be required.
Minimum TOEFL: IBT-83; Minimum IELTS: 6.5; Minimum Pearson: 65.
Deadline for Fall: July 1; Winter: November 1; Summer: March 1.
