If your goal is to pursue a professional program at another university, you can start by taking your pre-professional courses at the University of Regina or one of our Federated Colleges.
Professional programs require one to four years of undergraduate study before you can apply. The length and area of study varies by program and institution.
When applying to a pre-professional program at the University of Regina, you will need to select a faculty through which to complete your pre-professional course requirements. Some programs will specify a faculty you should choose (for example, Pre-dentistry students should select a Science program), while other professional programs will ask for coursework from an undergraduate degree in any faculty.
The path to each professional program is unique, so we encourage you to meet with an Enrolment Counsellor before applying, in order to discuss the right pathway for you.
The pre-professional pathways available at the University of Regina are listed below. In these pathways, students take the academic programs and courses that are required for admission into professional programs offered at other universities. During their pre-professional studies at the U of R, students also access supports, resources, and skill-building opportunities to help them become a strong candidate for future admission to their desired professional program.
