Individuals can evolve their art and design practice and refine their academic and technical skills through studio-based courses and internship opportunities while working towards a degree qualification. Whether building on a Level 6 diploma qualification and completing the final year of a degree (Level 7) or planning to pathway into a degree, one can complete the one-year Level 7 Design and Arts programme in Taranaki.

Participants can develop and refine their art and design talent guided by highly respected tutors, who are active in New Zealands art scene. Practical studio learning is complemented with professional practice, research, and an invaluable internship.

This Design and Art degree features independent work focused on one's specialist area and relevant work experience. Learning is studio-based at WITT with some collaborative blended learning with creative industries kaimahi and ākonga from UCOL Whanganui.
