If you already have a bit of experience in the construction industry, or have a Level 1 or 2 pre-trade qualification, this programme is your perfect next step. It’s fun, practical and workshop-based and is a great stepping stone to a career as a plasterer or painter.

Workplace safety frameworks and practices
Skills for construction trades
Painting and plastering compliance, terminology and roles
Allied trade (painting and plastering) project
Applying coatings and finishes to a Level 4 (industry standards) finish

Meet the minimum requirements of the NZMA Entry Assessment
Have sufficient competence in the English language to undertake this programme which is taught and assessed in English.
Must be physically able to complete the practical aspects of the programme by being able to work effectively, efficiently and safely in a simulated work environment which may involve working safely at heights and in confined spaces.
