The Accelerated B.S./M.S.A. program allows outstanding, full-time accounting students to earn both B.S. and M.S.A. degrees by completing 150 semester hours of coursework, which is the minimum number of credit hours required to obtain the CPA license in Ohio and most other states. The program will provide students with funding opportunities for the fifth year through graduate assistantships, professional internships, and scholarships.
In this program, students can earn a B.S. in Accounting and a M.S. in Accounting in 5 (4+1) years.
Students in the Accelerated program have nearly 100% job placement prior to graduation, since we have the best students in the Accelerated program, and it is well-known by the employers.
The program has dual-credit courses that count toward both the B.S. and the M.S.A degrees.
You will pay undergraduate tuition for the dual-credit courses and these courses will count for your graduate degree as well. This yields significant saving for both your time and tuition.
CPA exam review courses are built into the program.
A master’s degree provides long-term benefits including salary and career advancement

To be considered for acceptance to one of the graduate programs in the College of Business (CoB) at The University of Akron, the following admission criteria are examined:
A preferred minimum of 3.0 GPA, on a 4.0 scale, from an accredited undergraduate program.
For those that have lower than a 3.0 GPA, individual consideration may be made based upon the GMAT, GRE, or equivalent scores.
For those that have a 3.0 GPA or higher, but lack three years of work experience, a GMAT score of 500 or higher is preferred to indicate potential success in the graduate program.
Admittance without a GMAT test requirement may be granted to those holding a graduate degree from an accredited university or those with three or more years of professional work experience beyond the earned bachelor’s degree.
Applicants holding a degree from outside the United States and with an academic standing of first or high second class, satisfactory evidence of competence in English (i.e., TOEFL score of 79 or above or IELTS score of 6.5 or above) is required.
Требования к IELTS могут отличаться в зависимости от выбранного курса
