The PhD in Social Work program, established in 1986, extends the tradition of educating students skilled in clinical research, scholarship, and teaching with the Jesuit ideals of service to others and commitment to social justice as its foundation. Applicants must have earned MSW degree or a MSW degree in progress, as well as a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
English language requirements:
For the TOEFL, a score of at least 213 on the computer-based test or 550 on the written test is required. The minimum score for the new TOEFL IBT (internet-based test) is 79.
For the IELTS, a minimum score of 6.5 is required.
