The Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development Analysis focuses on the fundamentals of real estate development and the processes by which public and private sector decisions are made. Students will understand the historical development of real estate markets and the associated impacts on risk and return.

The School of Landscape Architecture and Planning is located within the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (CAPLA), a national leader in sustainable design, planning, and management. Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited United States college or university, or equivalent in a non-US institution of higher learning. The undergraduate degree can be in any field of study. A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 in the last 90 graded quarter credit hours or last 60 graded semester credit hours is required.

Applicants who do not meet the required 3.0 GPA can apply as Graduate Non-Degree Seeking. After completion of 12 consecutive semester units of 500 level courses, and a 3.0 GPA or higher, applicants can apply as graduate degree seeking using their graduate GPA.

Acceptable English Proficiency credentials:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - minimum score of 79 iBT (or 60 on the revised PBT with no section score lower than 15). Individual MyBest scores must also be dated within 2 years of the enrollment term to be considered valid.
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - minimum composite score of 7, with no subject area below a 6
  • Pearson PTE Academic - minimum score of 60
  • Graduate English Language Endorsement from the Center for English as a Second Language (CESL)
  • CEPT Full Academic test - offered by our Center for English as a Second Language (CESL), minimum Total score of 110
