The Master of Arts in comparative religion at Western Michigan University is designed to provide students with a strong foundation of knowledge of at least two religious traditions, the principal classical works in the field of comparative religion, and the central issues of theory and method that underlie the discipline of the study of religion.WMU has a new online graduate application system that allows all students (domestic and international) to submit required information into one system. General application information for the University, as well as specific requirement for individual programs, are captured into this system.

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum English proficiency test scores:

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 80 iBT

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic: 6.5

Pearson Test of English, Academic Module (PTE): 54

Michigan English Test (MET): 57

Application deadlines:

For Fall entry, and consideration for a graduate assistantship: February 15. For Spring entry: applicants can apply up to one week prior to the start of the spring semester.
