Pursue the Master of Public Health degree as an on-campus or online student. UNTHSC School of Public Health offers the Master of Public Health degree as both an on-campus or online program. The MPH cohort program is a 2-year, full-time, cohort style program that allows students to select one of four areas of concentration. Those areas of concentration are:

MPH Public Health Leadership: Whether pursuing public health work in a governmental, non-governmental, profit or non-profit capacity, our graduates will be equipped with a skill-set that will enable them to emerge as prominent leaders in the field. The MPH in Public Health Leadership will equip graduates with a set of interdisciplinary skills to tackle issues at the heart of population health, community health, health equity, and a host of other public health issues.

MPH Biostatistics: Dive deep into Biostatistics and see how your passion for math and statistics can lead to powerful insights and analysis. Play a pivotal role in healthcare or public health teams through data management, statistical analysis and analytical results. Applicants are expected to have a background in college algebra and calculus.

MPH Epidemiology: Be the detective and follow the data to discover the cause of today’s latest outbreaks. With opportunities in hospitals, government and non-government organizations, these data scientists are in high demand to manage and offer insights into today’s data rich world.

MPH Maternal & Child Health: Create and implement programs to bring healthy choices to the foundation of our communities, mothers and their children. Dedicate your efforts to this high needs population in the local Fort Worth area or around the world. In our intentionally small program you will find attentive faculty who challenge you, as well as classmates who will support your professional growth every day.

The MPH Online program is a 100% online flexible program. With five different starting times, this program is designed with the working professional in mind. Applicants may qualify for either the 48 or 42 semester credit hour option based on prior training and work experience.

The MPH Online 48-hour option is best for recent graduates. Engage with a range of public health competencies, including community health and health policy management.

The MPH Online 42-hour option is designed for those with at least 3 years of work experience in public health or medical professions or applicants that already hold an advanced degree or are enrolled in a dual graduate program. Gain a strong foundation in public health core competencies as well as a focus in health management and policy.
