Что я буду изучать?

The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is designed to be an interdisciplinary, professional degree in public health. The MPH Program provides opportunities for students to obtain broad knowledge and basic skills in the core areas of public health. Students are able to acquire proficiency in one or more specialized areas through advanced coursework, and gain experience in applying advanced knowledge to the solution of actual health problems in community settings during internship training.

The program is designed to be a two year program for full-time students. Part-time students can take up to 6 years to complete the program.

Students are able to obtain the MPH degree through one of nine concentration areas:

  • Biostatistics (Main Campus - Tucson)
  • Environmental and Occupational Health with tracks in Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) & Industrial Hygiene (IH) (Main Campus - Tucson)
  • Epidemiology (Main Campus - Tucson)
  • Family and Child Health with tracks in Global Health and Maternal & Child Health (Main Campus - Tucson)
  • Health Behavior Health Promotion (Main Campus - Tucson)
  • Health Services Administration (Phoenix & Tucson)
  • One Health (Main Campus - Tucson)
  • Public Health Policy and Management (Main Campus - Tucson)
  • Public Health Practice (Based at the Phoenix campus)

Bachelor's degree with 3.0 GPA

One course in college-level introductory, human, or general biology

One course in college algebra or calculus

Acceptable English Proficiency credentials:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - minimum score of 79 iBT (or 60 on the revised PBT with no section score lower than 15). Individual MyBest scores must also be dated within 2 years of the enrollment term to be considered valid.
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - minimum composite score of 7, with no subject area below a 6
  • Pearson PTE Academic - minimum score of 60
  • Graduate English Language Endorsement from the Center for English as a Second Language (CESL)
  • CEPT Full Academic test - offered by our Center for English as a Second Language (CESL), minimum Total score of 110
