The Civil Engineering Master's Degree (MSCE) consists of a minimum of thirty credit hours.
Students in the Civil Engineering Major may select either a thesis or a non-thesis option. Students in the Coastal and Port Engineering major must complete a thesis.

All coursework must be approved by the student’s thesis advisor prior to registering.

Transcripts from a U.S. institution accredited by an accepted institutional accreditor or its equivalent from a non-US institution that awarded the bachelor’s degree and all institutions where any post-baccalaureate and/or graduate credits were earned.

English Language Proficiency:

A minimum TOEFL score of 79 internet-based (550 paper-based or 213 computer-based); A minimum overall Duolingo score of 110 is recommended for admission. Individual programs may require higher scores and all sub scores will be considered; A score of 3 on the College Board Advanced Placement – International English Language (AP-IEL); AP grades range from 5 high to 1 low; 3 equals “Qualified”; or A band score of 6.5 on the University of Cambridge IELTS (International English Language Testing System); band scores range from 9 high to 1 low; 6.5 lies between 6 “competent user” and 7 “good user.”
